HFH of Kearsarge/Sunapee NH Area

HFH of Kearsarge/Sunapee NH Area is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.

Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - 'sweat equity' - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving Fund for Humanity that is used to build more houses.

We have completed our thirteenth Habitat  for Humanity house on Baker Hill Road in Sutton!  This project is near Sutton Mills and the elementary school.  It is a super location.  We also own the lot next door which will be our next build site.  It is because of your support that we are able to build this house and have been able to “renovate” over twenty-three other homes impaction over 175 local people!  Thank you to all the volunteers who are helping us make this new home a reality!  Many thanks go out to our supporters who have helped with financial support, in-kind support, donated supplies and time, moral support and most of all, your love and prayers.

We also completed several rehabs. Other worthy project that have been completed this year are a bathroom for a local family in need.

We Need Your Help! At this time, we are seeking building lots for future housing. Affordable lots that can be built on are becoming extremely costly. Please let us know if you are aware of some low cost or possibly donated building lots we could use. (Tax deductible donation)  or if you would like to help us with a donation towards the purchase of future building lots.    This is a great way to help Habitat!

Volunteers are always needed for the ongoing Habitat building projects! For more information, please call Jim Lowe at 603-927-4247. If you or your business/organization/family would like to support our local Habitat with a donation, materials or your time, please call our office at 603-526-8464 and leave us a message. All donations should be designated for ''Habitat for Humanity of the Kearsarge/Sunapee (NH) Area, Inc.''
